State of Oklahoma, ex rel S. P. Freeling, Attorney General, Plaintiff, vs. Buck Garrett, Sheriff of Carter County, Oklahoma, Defendant.
PETITION FOR REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.
Comes now the plaintiff and for cause of action against the defendant herein alleges and states: (1) That S. P. Freeling is the duly elected, qualified and acting Attorney General of and for the State of Oklahoma, and brings this action in the name of the State on his relation thereto as such Attorney General. (2) That Buck Garrett is now, and since the 4th day of January, 1921, has been the duly elected, qualified and acting sheriff within and for Carter County, State of Oklahoma. (3) That on the 4th day of January, 1921, the said Buck Garrett, as such sheriff, became and was, and ever since has been charged with the duty of diligently and faithfully enforcing all the laws of the State of Oklahoma prohibiting the manufacture, sale, bartering, giving away and otherwise furnishing of spirituous, vinous, fermented and malt liquors, or any imitations thereof or substitutes therefor, and relating to the unlawful transportation of such liquors from one point in the State of Oklahoma to another point or place therein, and relating to the bartering, selling, giving away or otherwise furnishing same contrary to law,
