Hon. Cyrus S. Avery, P. O. Box 1851, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dear Sir: I have not heard from you since I wrote you about the expense account of the National Guard occasioned by the Tulsa riot. I do not know what you have done nor what you propose to do, but would be very glad indeed to have some definite information on this subject in the very near future.
I presume you have noticed by the papers that the State of Missouri is celebrating her Centennial anniversary of statehood at Sedalia August 10, 11 and 12. I have accepted an invitation from the Governor to be their guest on the 11th. I expect to leave here on the 10th by way of the Katy, arriving at Sedalia at 10:40 that night. I should be glad to have you and Mrs. Avery, together with as many other Missourians as possible, go along. I think it would be a fine thing to take a large delegation of ex-Missourians to this centennial celebration.
Letter to Cyrus S. Avery, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1921 July 29, from Governor James B. A. Robertson, Oklahoma, regarding expenses of the National Guard during riot and an invitation to attend the Missouri Centennial.
