Statement of Geo. F. Moran, 212 N. Grant St. Business address 305 S. Cheyenne-Tulsa. Q What is your business, Mr. Morgan? A Tailoring. Q Did you have some good stolen recently? A Yes, sir. Q Just state the circumstance? A I am positive I know the parties but I have not been able to get my hand on a piece of the goods, but I believe I saw one of them with a piece of this goods made into a suit; he is the janitor of the Unity Building, and his name is Bill Morris. Q When did that theft occur? A The night of the 17th of August. Q Did you report the robberty to the officers? A The officers were there the next morning when I got there. Q What stops did they take to apprehend the robbers? A I went to see them every few days and they always said they were looking for the robbers. Q Was that the police or county officers? Q The police. They told me to get a search warrant for this place where I suspected they took the goods so I came and got a search warrant for the basement and the janitor's office in the Unity Building. I went to the police and asked them if they would furnish me with a man. I did not want to let these thieves know I was behind them and if they would give me a man I would go to the superintendent of the building and get permission to search the buildings. They told me they couldn't to that that I would have to get a search warrant. I said I didn't want to get a search warrant unless I knew who it was, it was one of two fellows, but I wasn't sure which one it was.
