This publication is a compilation of related reports issued by USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) in an effort to provide a complete source of statistics relevant to the pork industry. Though many of the statistics in this publication can be accessed through our website on a monthly basis (www.nass.usda.gov/ Publications), this Oklahoma Field Office summary will be issued each quarter following the release of the USDA-NASS Quarterly Hogs and Pigs report. Wilbert Hundl, Jr., Director USDA-NASS Oklahoma Field Office USDA-NASS OKLAHOMA FIELD OFFICE O klahoma’s March-May 2012 pig crop at 1.86 million head was up slightly from last year. Sows farrowed, at 190,000, were unchanged from the number farrowed during the previous quarter.
