County unemployment rates increase in May
In May, LeFlore County reported Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 8.5 percent. Latimer
County and Sequoyah County rounded out the three highest rates for the month. Dewey, Ellis and Roger
Mills counties recorded a three-way tie for the state’s lowest county rate. All Oklahoma counties except
Okmulgee County, which registered no change, saw their unemployment rates increase over the month.
