Walker states, “It was a great opportunity to represent Oklahoma, my community and see what other organizations and entities are doing across the United States. It really made me realize the work we have done and the work we still need to do in Oklahoma.” Among attendees at the conference was Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Ser‐vices. Also, documen‐tary film producer, Shelia Johnson, and J’mia Ed‐wards, a mother of 3 liv‐ing with HIV were pre‐sent at the conference. Walker stated, “The thing I enjoyed the most was participating in the National Media Campaign, Greater than AIDS. Who would have thought someone from a small town in Oklahoma would have such a great opportunity?” MAMA Knows, Inc. has recently been awarded a small grant from National Native American AIDS Prevention Center, Denver, Colorado, to provide regional capacity‐building in conjunction with the hosting of HIV Preven‐tion Social Marketing as a one‐time training event.
