o What are the physical demands of my job?
o What are my hours?
o Will I be working alone or with others?
o What safety gear will I need to wear?
o What workplace hazards should I be aware of (e.g., noise, chemicals)?
o What safety training will I receive and when will I receive it?
o Where are the first-aid supplies and fire extinguishers located?
o Does my employer have a worker safety policy and an emergency action plan?
o Is there an occupational safety and health professional on staff?
Teen worker responsibilities include:
o Trust your instincts about dangerous situations.
o Follow all safety rules.
o Wear proper safety equipment.
o Ask questions about potentially dangerous situations or equipment.
o Tell your supervisor or parent if you suspect unsafe conditions.
o Be aware of your work environment.
o Work safely.
o Stay sober and drug-free.
o Know your workplace rights.
