Heart & Soul: A Day to Remember
The 2012 Heart & Soul: A Day to Remember was well attended and well received
by participants. The event was held at the beautiful Central Oklahoma Home
Builders Association building at 420 E. Britton in Oklahoma City.
More than 120 people attended, including couples in their 20s to those in their
70s, and couples who were dating to those who had been married for 56 years.
Because of the diversity in the room, the event was fun, lively and engaging!
Terry Buxton and Cynthia Rayford were exceptional presenters who led
participants through the PREP curriculum, including sessions on relational danger
signs and taking time outs to manage escalating arguments. The presentation
focused heavily on the concept of commitment and equipped couples with
strategies for improving their connection even when life gets busy or difficult. For

“Forever. For Real.” Engages Military Couples
On Saturday, March 31st, the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative held the second
“Forever. For Real. for Military Couples” workshop. These workshops are offered
as a free resource with support from the Oklahoma National Guard, Army
OneSource, and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Central Oklahoma.
