Many county unemployment rates drop in August
LeFlore County reported the state’s highest county unemployment rate of 10.7 percent in August.
Sequoyah County provided the second highest rate, and Latimer County held the third highest county rate for
the month. The state’s lowest county rate for August came from Ellis County. Over the month, only five of
Oklahoma’s 77 counties recorded unemployment rate increases.
