THIRD QUARTER REPORT FINANCIAL REVIEW The 2012 third quarter compared well with the prior period with $9.3 million net revenue, an increase of almost $2 million. Results for the 12 months ending September 30, 2012 were unfavorable versus the comparable period in 2011. The unfavorable 2012 results were driven by increased operating costs, primarily the cost of transmission service. The OCP grant program, administered by OMPA, ended August 31, 2012. The grant provided incentive for the installa-tion of energy efficient ground source heat pumps and customer energy audits. 1,755 tons of GSHP were installed under the program. In addition, a total of 1,317 energy audits were performed. BOARD ACTIVITY In October 2012, Jim Frieda, City Manager for the City of Duncan, Okla-homa, joined the OMPA Board. Mr. Frieda replaced Mr. Clyde Shaw who retired from the OMPA Board after eight years of service. Energy deliveries for the third quarter of 2012 were slightly lower compared to 2011. Energy costs were lower in 2012, driven by low natural gas prices. Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority 2701 West I-35 Frontage Road Post Office Box 1960 Edmond, Oklahoma 73083-1960 Owned by the members we serve. (Front) OMPA: Energy Wiser, Energy Smarter emphasizes the various programs the Authority offers to reduce peak load and improve energy efficiency. The Oklahoma Comfort Program (OCP) uses funds from the Stimulus State Energy Program (SSEP), as adminis-tered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, to provide residential energy audits and rebates for the installation of Geothermal Heat Pump (GHP) systems. The intent of the Demand and Energy Efficiency Program (DEEP) is to provide incentives to commercial and industrial businesses that invest in energy-efficient projects. The objective of the WISE Rebate Program is to assist participating member cities in encouraging residential custom-ers and subdivision homebuilders to purchase and install energy-efficient air conditioners and electric heat pumps. The Competitive Utility Program (CUP) provides members with a way to evaluate and improve the operation of their electric utilities, and make them better able to compete in the electric utility industry.
