Unemployment rates up across many Oklahoma counties for
In October, LeFlore County reported the state’s highest county unemployment rate of 9.9 percent. Latimer
County held onto the second highest rate, and McCurtain and Sequoyah counties again tied for the third
highest county rate for the month. The state’s lowest county unemployment rate in October came from Ellis
County. Over the month, county unemployment rates rose in 72 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties.
