Insure Oklahoma Agent Blast February - 2012 2011 INCOME TAXES We will not be accepting 2010 taxes after Monday, April 16, 2012, we require 2011 taxes for enrollment purposes in order to verify current income, individuals must comply with Federal and State Law by providing a copy of the 2011 tax return. Insure Oklahoma does not ac-cept tax extensions. NEW COST OF LIVING 2012 There will be a new cost of living with new income guideline effective April 1, 2012. This will affect anyone who applies in March and qualifies with a April effective date for Employer Sponsored Insurance (ESI). The new income will be posted on the IO website on March 1, 2012. Please visit www.insureoklahoma.org/income for more details. ASYLEES vs ELIGIBLE ALIENS When individuals are applying, an individual must be either a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence for a period greater than five years from the date of entry or otherwise permanently residing in the United States. Asylees - A non-citizen of a country who has been granted asylum in that country. Docu-mentation validating the asylum will be required. Eligible Alien - An eligible alien is a noncitizen whose immigration status allows him or her to establish a domicile in the U.S. EMPLOYER ID All documents sent to IO for processing must contain the Employer ID Number (i.e. E00001234) on all pages and including the Cover Sheet. For NEW groups that do not have an assigned Employer ID number must list the Tax ID/FEIN. Documents sent in without this information may experience a delay in processing.
