County unemployment rates rise across the state in December
LeFlore County closed out 2012 with Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate of 8.9 percent.
McCurtain County claimed the second highest rate in December, and Latimer County contributed the third
highest county rate for the month. Ellis County held the state’s lowest December unemployment rate of 2.2
percent. Over the month, county unemployment rates were up in 72 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties.
