During the 10-11 academic year, more than 72,000 students learned important leadership skills as members of Oklahoma CareerTech Student Organizations. Tomorrow's business professionals. More than 50 courses have Oklahoma's Promise credit and fulfill the computer science/ computer technology requirement for college admission and high school graduation. All courses align to 80 national certifications. Marketing Education DECA Developing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Core curriculum gives students a broad foundation with a specific concentration to meet high school graduation and college admission requirements. All courses align with national standards for 40 possible certifications. Health Careers Education HOSA A student-led association of future health professionals. Students completing core health careers coursework can sit for the National Healthcare Skills Assessment. Two-thirds of career majors lead to health care credentials. National Technical Honor Society Success favors the prepared mind. The society teams with CareerTech instructors and student organizations to promote educational excellence and higher standards for CareerTech education. Family and Consumer Sciences Education FCCLA - Family, Careers and Community Leaders of America The Ultimate Leadership Experience! Courses fulfill state requirements for the financial literacy passport as students learn math and science concepts in family and consumer sciences courses. Trade and Industrial Education SkillsUSA Preparing for leadership in the world of work. The classroom and industry partnership combines academics, theory and hands-on training, propelling students toward mastery in a selected career with options to earn certifications and licenses in hundreds of areas. Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics TSA - Technology Student Association Learning to live in a technical world.
