In Oklahoma County, in a snapshot of time
it was revealed there were 2453 children in
OKDHS custody who need a temporary home.
These "homes" are hosted by foster families
who provide temporary care to a child or
children because they are in state custody due
to abuse or neglect.
Of this number, 496 children are Hispanic and
only 44 Hispanic homes are available to provide
temporary care for these children. The best
solution for these children is to stay connected
to their kin, culture and community.
The 111 Project aims to connect one church
with one family for one purpose: to leave no
Oklahoma child without a family.
You can help with this great need. Please email
info@111Project.org or call 405-521-6865 to
learn how to become engaged in this movement.
