1 2011-12 Year End Report HIGHLIGHTS: In 2011-12, for the first time in the history of the program, the number of Oklahoma’s Promise award recipients in college declined slightly from the previous year, from 20,081 in 2010-11 to 20,029 in 2011-12. The number of award recipients is projected to decline further over the next two years as shown below. The decline is due to several factors, including implementation of legislative changes requiring a second family income check at the time the student starts college, the application of federal satisfactory academic progress standards, and new statutory college GPA requirements.
