FTA NOFA Coming Soon... Grant Writing Class Crash Data Collection Training at ODOT NTTC Save the Date:.. National Transit Database... NTD Reporting Deadline. CTAA Tribal Transit Summit Coming June 2-7 Construction Management & Cost Estimating Coming up May 7-8, the Southern Plains TTAP will be bringing you Construction Management & Cost Estimating, at the Southern Plains TTAP Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Class times are 9 am to 4 pm and will be instructed by Heather Yates, Ed.D. The class will offer guidance on overall construction management, quantity take off, cost estimates, historical data, materials/labor, and MORE. The 2-day overview will conclude with a practical application exercise in a case study. Register Here FTA NOFA Coming Soon Tribal Transit Notice of Funding Availability According to Elan Flippin, FTA Office of Program Management, a Tribal Transit Notice of Funding Availability will be published around the end of April. Check the FTA website or the SP TTAP website for the latest information. Elan.Flippin@dot.gov Under MAP-21, the Tribal Transit Program continues to be a set-aside from the rural area formula program (Sec 5311), but now consists of a $25 million formula program and a $5 million discretionary grant program. MORE Grant Writing Class April 24 Be prepared to put your best GRANT forward! In these times of tight budgets and competitive funding, the skills associated with good grant writing become even more vital for an organization. In the Wednesday morning session, the TTAP Grant Writing Class will help agencies make the most of their grant writing skills. Nani Pybus, Ph. D, Proposal Development Specialist, Oklahoma State University, will offer information and tips on the basics of grant writing including the following: how to find funding sources, how to develop a funding proposal, and how to get it funded. SIGN UP Crash Data Collection Training at ODOT Millions of dollars are spent annually to make our highways safe and efficient, with most safety improvements resulting from the analysis of crash information at specific locations. The Crash Data Collection class will teach you how to log in to the Oklahoma's Safe-T System where you will be able to access crash data for your area. The regular reporting deadline for the National Transit Database for the 2012 Report Year is April 30, 2013. The 2012 Report Year is the data that will be used for the FY 2014 apportionments, including the Tribal Transit Formula apportionment for next year. If you have any questions about getting your data reported to the NTD, contact the NTD Help Desk at 888-252- 0396 or ntdhelp@dot.gov.
