All applications for rebates must be complete and received by OMPA by February 29, 2012. Using funds from the Stimulus State Energy Program administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, OCP is providing additional rebates of $1,000 per ton for geothermal heat pump (GHP) systems; this is in addition to the $800 per ton provided by the OMPA WISE Rebate program (in participating cities). OCP also provides energy audits for residential customers in member cities, and training for GHP contractors. To date, OCP has provided • 704 energy audits • 56 rebate checks for $ 383,740 • Training for 71 contractors. GHP systems help customers because they heat and cool homes and other buildings at the lowest operating costs. The OCP and WISE rebates, together with the 30% federal tax credit for residential customers, make the installation costs comparable with other heating and cooling systems. GHP systems help electric utilities by adding winter load and reducing summertime peaks. Encourage your customers to make the most of this opportunity. GHP systems will probably never be this low in installation costs! Call Kent Walker (405-359-2511) regarding assistance with (or scheduling for) residential energy audits. All-Employee Training October – November 2011 (select dates – see below) Dr. Lee Manzer "A Practical and Fun Approach to Excellent Service – How to Create a Service Culture" All agree that superior service will give an organization a competitive advantage by strengthening long-term customer relationships. This session provides a “practical” approach that improves service to both external and internal customers, thereby establishing such relationships. Basically, the session addresses: • What are the principles of service? • How can we (management/employees) be motivated to implement the principles? • The importance of creating a service environment. L. Lee Manzer is a Professor in the Department of Marketing, Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University. He served on the faculty at Memphis State University after working as a chemist and sales representative for the Dow Chemical Co. He came to Oklahoma State in 1975. At OSU he has served as Department Head, Director of Graduate Studies, and Director of the Small Business Institute. He is a nationally recognized expert on service implementation. He has presented service quality, goal setting, and leadership material to over 400 profit and not-for-profit organizations. These organizations include energy and petrochemical companies, manufacturing firms, financial institutions, and public service agencies. The total participation in these presentations is over 90,000. Dr. Manzer annually speaks to 10-20 community service and student organizations regarding success criteria.
