OHS Board Election Information
Oklahoma Historical Society
Oklahoma City, OK
Ballots and other materials related to the election of individuals to the Board of
Directors of the Oklahoma Historical Society recently were mailed to all members of
the OHS eligible to vote in the election. The printer made a mistake, despite having
produced proofs that were correct, in printing the #9 return envelopes. Because
they also stuffed and mailed the ballot package, we did not realize the error had
been made until they already were in the mail.
There is supposed to be a signature line on the back of the envelope next to the
members printed name and address. The instructions indicate that members should
sign on that line. This line was not printed on the envelopes. Members are
requested to sign anywhere on the back of the return envelope. We were stunned
to discover that our vendor produced perfect proofs and then failed to execute the
job properly, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
