Purpose	The Advancement of Hispanic Students in Higher Education Task Force has completed its second year of service to the State of Oklahoma pursuant to the provisions of Enrolled House Bill 2145. The focus of the Task Force during its tenure has been on the purposes of the Task Force presented in the legislation. The first purpose of the Task Force is to monitor the implementation and administration of the policy required in Section 3242 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes. The statute requires the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to adopt a policy that allows undocumented students to enroll in college, pay resident tuition, and be eligible for state student financial aid. The policy was adopted by the State Regents in June 2003.; The second purpose of the Task Force is to study issues related to the recruitment, retention and completion of higher education by Hispanic students in Oklahoma.
