Rains of 1-4 inches last week pretty commonfrom Central Oklahoma and West. Parts of Eastern Oklahoma saw up to 9 inches. Last week's rain was enough to take centralOklahoma and east out of drought status. Sunny, warm weather that followed has drastically improved grass pastures and thislending to the increased demand in light weight or thin fleshed cattle. New crop calves beginning to show up at livestock markets and these are frequently selling 10.00-20.00 lower than weaned calves. Boxed beef cutout values continued to slide thisweek and may have contributed to lower and slower fed cattle markets.
