The workshop is slated March 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will provide information on how wetlands function, design and construction, plant selection, wetland regulation, and includes a tour of the recently completed Cow Creek constructed wetland. The workshop fee is $40 and includes a copy of Wetland Restoration and Construction: A Technical Guide, published by The Wetland Trust. Please contact Jeri Fleming at jeri.fleming@okstate.edu to register. Ralstin Retires: A come-and-go retirement reception for Stan Ralstin, Area Extension Rural Development Specialist, will take place March 29, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Garfield County OSU Extension Center, 316 E. Oxford, Enid. Dahlgren Retires: A come-and-go retirement reception for Ron Dahlgren, Sr. TV Producer/Director, Agricultural Communications Services, will take place March 30, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the lobby of Agriculture North on the OSU campus. ANNOUNCEMENTS Workshops Needed for 4-H Roundup: July 25-27 will mark the 91st State 4-H Roundup on the OSU campus. The State 4-H Office and the Roundup committee are working to see that the highest quality educational opportunities are available. We are looking for persons to present educational workshops to youth ages 13-19. The workshops should be hands-on, motivational, upbeat and age appropriate. The workshop application form can be found at http://oklahoma4h.okstate.edu/events/roundup.htm. Please contact Tracy Beck at 405- 744-8891 for more information. Condolences to: Rick Rexwinkle, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development, and CED, Osage County, on the death of his wife. D’Ann (Victor) Rexwinkle passed away March 9. D’Ann also was the mother of Jim Rexwinkle, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development, Tulsa County, and mother-in-law to Ryan Sproul, Extension Educator, Agriculture/4-H Youth Development, Delaware County. Funeral services took place March 13 at the Afton First Christian Church. She has been a 4-H volunteer leader for 35 years. Cards may be sent to Rick and the family at P.O. Box 611, Barnsdall, OK 74002. Condolences to: Marleta Giles, CNEP Nutrition Education Assistant, Tulsa County, on the death of her brother. Stewart Giles II passed away March 10. Funeral services took place March 16 in Tulsa. Cards may be sent to Marleta at 1146 S. Florence Ave., Tulsa, OK 74104.
