PSYCHIATRIC AND CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY FACILITIES OCCUPANCY REPORT May 2011 to October 2011 Protective Health Services Health Resources Development Service 1000 NE 10th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73117-1299 January 2012 INTRODUCTION This report includes psychiatric facility utilization data for the six-month period from May 2011 through October 2011. The occupancy information for this report is provided by the State Department of Health, pursuant to Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes, Sections 1-880.4(C) and 1-880.7(F): 63 O.S. § 1-880.4(C) The Department shall establish forms and provide for the collection of monthly data necessary for the computation of occupancy rates from licensed psychiatric and chemical dependency facilities which do not provide services to Medicaid recipients. Data shall include licensed bed capacity, average daily census, days on which beds were reserved for residents temporarily absent, and the number, if any, of semi-private units rented as private rooms. 63 O.S. § 1-880.7(F) The State Department of Health shall conduct a study to determine the number and location of all inpatient and residential psychiatric services and chemical dependency services within the state that are offered or provided for persons under eighteen (18) years of age and maintain a current listing, updated monthly, of the facilities offering said services, the number of beds at each facility, and the occupancy rate at each facility. The statewide occupancy rate, number of facilities, and number of beds are provided on the statewide summary page at the end of this report. The report consists of two parts. The first part includes the following information: * county in which the facility is located; * name of the facility; * number of licensed psychiatric youth, and adult beds at the facility; * number of psychiatric days, including patient service days, and reserve days for both youth and adult; * psychiatric services occupancy rate (%) at the facility for the six month period for youth, adult and the two combined; and * occupancy rate (%) for all services at the facility for the six month period. The second part includes: * totals for the entire state, for youths, adults, and the two groups combined. 1 DISCUSSION OF MISSING DATA The following facilities have not reported data for May 2011 through October 2011 period. Those facilities are shown in the table below. Anyone considering a Substance Abuse and/or Psychiatric project that includes these facilities in its proposed service area should contact the Certificate of Need staff for possible update.
