ASCOG officers for 2013/2014 are: President Mike Lennier Grady County Commissioner 1st Vice Pres Terry Wyatt Tillman County Conservation Director 2nd Vice Pres Gene Brown Stephens County Mayoral Rep Secretary Shorty Foster McClain County Commissioner Treasurer Royse Reagan Jefferson County Conservation Director Additional trustees serving on the executive committee are: Abe Lopez, Caddo County mayoral rep; Dick Herrin, Comanche County mayoral rep; Gerald Hayes, Cotton County citizen-at-large rep; and Larry Jefferson, Lawton, minority rep for Comanche County. ASCOG Adopts Budget: The board of trustees adopted a $7,213,109 budget for FY 2014. Oklahoma Municipal League Employment Seminar: Friday, July 19, 2013, Professional Training & Education, Rose State College, Midwest City. Topics include: health care law update; 2013 Workers Compensation reform; performance evaluations; collective bargaining & employment law; open records, e-mail and social media. SCOWIB Executive Director Retires: The South Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board (SCOWIB) executive director, Ray Friedl, has retired after 23 years in workforce development in the ASCOG area. Ray was always an advocate for people and businesses in south central Oklahoma and will definitely be missed. Replacing him as executive director is Kathie Price of Burns Flat.
