ISSUE NUMBER THIRTY-SEVEN • June 8, 2015 Since my office began the Safe Oklahoma Grant program in 2012, we’ve awarded nearly $4 million to local law enforcement agencies to help them fight violent crime at the neighborhood level. This year, we awarded nine different agencies with funds that will directly target crime hot spots across the state. I look forward to seeing how these agencies use the funds to innovate ways in which we can keep our neighborhoods safe and in turn protect our children. My office also continues to focus on the fighting back against the EPA's new rules and regulations regarding 'waters of the United States.' I am working diligently with the Federalism Unit to prepare a lawsuit to fight this unlawful decision that will directly affect private property rights. If you didn't catch the Oklahoman's editorial on the subject, be sure to read it below. In the column they write, "Attorney General Scott Pruitt is ready to lock horns with the administration over this.” They are absolutely correct. I will lock horns and challenge the administration’s unlawful rule in order to protect the private property rights of Oklahomans. Have a blessed week, Connect with us!
