[74 O.S. § 3105(B)] Training held at new course See Page 6 Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority staff and representatives of member cities assembled on May 17 at OMPA offices in Edmond to hear a presentation about distributed generation and receive a toolkit meant to assist in facing the approaching challenges associated with the issue. The toolkit was formed by OMPA staff over the course of a year in response to inquiries from members and a discussion at the annual board retreat. It includes eight sections – an introduction, retail rate information, metering options, city resolution templates, the customer application process, information on an amendment to the OMPA power sales contract, a glossary of terms and additional resources. Cities and towns interested in obtaining a copy of the toolkit should contact OMPA at (405) 359-2500. It can also be found under the “Members Only” section of the OMPA website at www.ompa.com. A password is needed to access that part of the website. Distributed generation is that generation which is produced behind the meter, typically by a customer installing solar panels, although generation could also be produced with wind turbines or internal combustion engines.
